In these comprehensive step by step instructions, you'll learn how to create these handy tote bags. You can make a small or medium, the choice is yours, but we are certain you will make more than one!

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED (QUANTITY IS FOR ONE MEDIUM & TWO SMALL TOTES)
 
1 metre extra wide main fabric for outer bottom sections
1½ metres of contrast fabric for outer top sections  and lining
Thread & basic sewing kit
wadding - Approximately (1 metre x 1 metre)
fusible heavyweight interfacing -  four 13 inch x 6 inch and two 20 inch x 6 inch pieces.
erasable fabric marker
 
These bags work best with tapestry weight fabric for the bottom section. If using thinner fabric, interfacing can be added, to strengthen and make the bottom section more rigid.
 
FINISHED SIZE (Measurements are approximate)
Small bag  6 inch width x 11½ inch height x 6 inch depth
Medium bag 12 inch width x 14 inch height x 6 inch depth
